About The Artist

The Artist

Rob Woods is a cartoonist based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Born and raised in Philadelphia by a family of artists (of various disciplines), Rob received his initial education in Cartooning and traditional Graphic Design from his mentor and father Roosevelt Woods. He has also taken courses in Fine Art at Community College of Philadelphia and Fleischer Art Memorial.

Rob’s work has appeared in several anthologies to date, including the Eisner & Harvey Award-winning Little Nemo: Dream Another Dream (Locust Moon Press) and Once Upon a Time Machine (Dark Horse), but his most personal work lives in his self-published mini-comics, where he uses humorous characters and plots to express dark thoughts and experiences. A first collection of his minicomics, 36 Lessons in Self-Destruction, was published by Locust Moon Press.
